JBL Connect+ allows connecting JBL Command 3 and 4, Pulse 3, Flip 4, Xtreme 2, and Boombox and Boombox 2. Pulse 4 and Flip 5 are already here, they got a standard, called JBL Partyboost – it’s not entirely clear why Connect+ wasn’t used here.

The Connect JBL app can unfortunately do a lot more than apps from competing manufacturers. It displays the connected speakers, and with a click, the setting for lighting can be done here. In addition to this, settings for connectivity can be made in the JBL Connect app, such as whether the speakers should be in party or stereo mode. For example, depending on the model, the play/scene button can be set to pause a game or call Siri. Unfortunately, there’s not much else in the app.

Although both JBL Connect and Connect+ speakers can be displayed in the app, it does not mean that they can be used at the same time.

With JBL Connect, you can have a maximum of two and with JBL Connect you can have up to 99 or 100 speakers.
