Corsair Void Rgb Elite Wireless Gaming Headset With 7.1 Surround Sound
When you listen to a movie soundtrack through the TV speakers, the sound comes to you from one source. As rockets shoot into the stratosphere, buildings are collapsing all around, and heroes leaping onto the screen it all looks like it happened in a box… because. Life doesn’t come at you from just one direction, so one sound source creates a very limited experience. Doesn’t sound too realistic, does it?
True surround sound is the only way to create a cinema experience at home, allowing you to hear what the director intended. This immersion enhances the enjoyment of the film by immersing you in the story.
Home theater systems with high-quality surround sound equipment can elevate an ordinary movie night to a major event.

Now that you know what you need, sound wise, for a killer surround sound home theater system, it’s important to know how they work together.
When creating surround sound content, sound engineers divide all the sounds in a scene into separate channels. For example, a sound associated with an action on the left goes to the left, and an effect associated with a sight goes to the right.
A surround sound receiver works like a traffic policeman, directing all the sound to make sure it gets where it needs to go. The five-speaker setup delivers sound accordingly, despite the many channels encoded in Blu-ray or digital downloads.
How To Stream Surround Sound Music: Dolby Atmos, Tidal, Amazon Music
The center channel handles heavy speech and whatever else is in front of you. Most music and sound effects in a movie are sent to the left and right speakers. The surround speakers provide ambient noise and pan/amplify effects that add a third dimension to your movie-watching experience. All low frequency outputs (LFAs) such as booms and musical bass are assigned to the subwoofer.
When connected and arranged correctly, the speakers in the surround sound configuration work together to sufficiently fill the room and direct the sound to the viewing and listening area.
When shopping for surround sound systems, you may notice that they are labeled with numbers such as 5.1, 7.1, and 9.1. These numbers indicate how many speakers and subwoofers the system has. Here are some of the most popular settings you can use for your home theater.
Best Surround Sound Systems For Your Ultimate Home Theater
5.1 setup is the standard format for DVD, Blu-ray and many streaming services. It has five speakers – left, right, center, left rear, right rear surround – and a subwoofer. For beginners, this setup makes a great entry point as it offers a satisfying surround sound experience without overcomplicating things.
A 7.1 surround sound system has the same basic setup as 5.1 but includes right and left rear speakers placed behind the viewer. This configuration means you get a total of four surround zones, which improves spatial resolution and the sound definition of movie soundtracks. Some Blu-ray and surround sources are encoded in 7.1, but 5.1 sources can be downscaled to 7.1.
A 9.1 setup adds another pair of speakers to a 7.1 mix. Speakers in a small position allow sound effects to travel freely left and right, forward and backward. In a 9.1 setup, two additional speakers are mounted a few feet above the corresponding left or right front speaker, giving the sound a portion of its height. Elevation offers another dimension to music and sound effects, creating a more immersive experience.
How To Set Up A 7.1 Surround Sound Speaker System
Any of these systems can include multiple sub-softwares, the number of which increases to the right of the decimal point. One of the first tips you’ll hear from home theater enthusiasts is to add another subwoofer if you’re rocking a 5.1, 7.1, or 9.1 setup.
Do you have a pair of subwoofers? Place them on opposite walls so that the bass can be heard from two sides. What’s the point of all these subwoofers? They bring out the bass response and make your movies and music a little louder and clearer. It makes a big difference.
As a PhD student, your voice system can continue to advance, while gathering new skills, honors, and credentials. Dolby Atmos® is a leap forward in sound technology, breaking away from the traditional channel-based system to release different audio elements within a soundtrack, allowing them to move and come at you in three dimensions – including above your head. No longer tied to a preset output, these sounds go in the direction that best serves your movie experience.
Everything You Need To Know About Surround Sound In Headphones
To experience Dolby Atmos, you’ll need to add two or four ceiling speakers or tall speakers to your existing surround sound setup. This change adds another decimal to the end of your speaker configuration – for example: 5.1.2 or 7.2.4.
Whether you opt for a 5.1 system, a 9.2 setup, or somewhere in between, wires are more likely to be involved.

Enclave Cinehome Pro Wireless Surround Sound System Review
If you want the best in 7.1 surround sound, there’s only one name you need to look at, and that’s Klipsch. They’ve built the likes of indoor packages we’ve never heard before, and this one – a 7.1.2 system powered by massive RP-8060FA floor-standing speakers – is out of this world. The audio quality is rich and masterful, with enough power behind it to pound the walls of your cave. Compared to other systems like Aprion and Martin Logan, there is simply no competition. The 7.1.2 system presented here is indeed expensive, but the money is absolutely worth it.
The biggest downside is that we can’t say how long this package will last. Klipsch has the extremely annoying habit of regularly cycling their packages, and their unfriendly brand names make it difficult to know exactly which one you’re looking for. While there is always a comparable system from a company, it will not be the exact system that stands out. We paired it with the pulse-pounding Denon AVR-X3700H receiver, which brings out the best of the Dolby Atmos modules included in those huge speakers. It is a highly recommended combination.
The 10 Best Wireless Surround Sound Speakers In 2022
Fluence is one of the few manufacturers that still makes time for 7.1 speaker systems, so it’s no surprise that they’ve got more than one entry on this list. The Elite Series isn’t as good as the top-rated Signature Series, but it’s much cheaper and doesn’t compromise on sound quality. The audio is clear and realistic, and excels at providing excellent detail. You’ll have to put up with the fact that the speakers look straight out of the 1970s, but if you can excuse that, you’ll find the Elite Series to be among the best speakers under $1,000.
We’ve always thought that Pioneer and Integra receivers work well with Fluence systems, and we’re happy to add your Yamaha to that list. This is our special choice
