It has attractive RGB lighting on the front panel, as well as guitar and microphone inputs for musicians. It has a warm sound profile overall, although the extra bass at the bottom end can be a bit overwhelming for some listeners. Although it has an IPX4 waterproof rating, its battery only lasts about 4.5 hours on a single charge. Fortunately, it can get pretty loud, and there’s a bass boost feature that fans of bass-heavy music genres might enjoy.

The mids are well balanced, so dialogue is clear, but the highs are understated, so sibilance like the S and T sounds can be perceived as muffled. It has poor directivity, so the sound doesn’t sound clear from all directions. Fortunately, it can play stereo content, which feels more immersive.
JBL PartyBox On-The-Go is suitable for podcasts. It supports multi-device pairing, which is useful if you want to change the audio source frequently. It can also sound quite loud, although there is some compression at maximum volume. Its mids are fairly well balanced, so dialogue comes through clearly. However, the On-The-Go is smaller and lighter, making it more portable.
