The Boombox 2 speaker is also mobile thanks to its carrying handle and built-in battery. In general, 24 hours of autonomy will meet all your expectations!

Rugged, the JBL Boombox 2 is also waterproof thanks to its IPX7 design It is completely water resistant to continue working even in the rain There is a USB port on the back for charging your smartphone Finally, JBL PartyBoost offers the possibility to connect several JBL speakers to create an XXL sound environment and enhance the atmosphere! Working for JBL must be fun We’ve covered a variety of JBL Bluetooth speakers over the years, and they just keep getting…crazier. Where some companies introduced relatively predictable iterations of last year’s portable speakers, we’ve seen JBL speakers go underwater, gain the ability to play more than 100 sister speakers simultaneously, and even add impressive light shows. Then this monster: the JBL Boombox It’s funny and we love it

In many ways, the JBL Boombox looks like any other JBL speaker It has a tube shape and is wrapped in the same tough fabric fabric found on the JBL Flip or Charge speakers. A thick, heavy-duty handle connects the massive passive radiators on either side, protected by the familiar crenellated ends that let you lay the boombox on its side without obstructing the airflow. The JBL Boombox bills itself as a portable Bluetooth speaker, but it’s definitely less portable than your average Bluetooth speaker—if we didn’t already know it, the Boombox is huge (10″ H x 19.5″ W x 7.7″) and heavy (11.5 pounds). The boombox may be heavy, but it feels very durable, and we think the soft rubberized surfaces on the sides and bottom should make it durable enough. On the front of the boombox is Bluetooth pairing, volume, play/pause, power, and JBL Link functionality. button. Volume is tied to iOS volume, but the boombox’s battery level isn’t shown in the iPhone’s notification panel. Our only complaint here is that as a Bluetooth speaker, the boombox is limited to the Bluetooth protocol’s 15 volume steps — not a big deal for headphones, but loud devices like boomboxes. Not ideal for

It’s a JBL speaker on steroids for more than just its size — its features are super big, too. Bluetooth range is excellent; We can easily stand 30 feet from the speaker The boombox’s internal battery is massive at 20,000mAh and requires an actual AC adapter (no USB charging here). It takes 6.5 hours to charge, but lasts up to 24 hours when played at reasonable volume You probably won’t need it for that long, which is great—you can use that extra battery power to charge two mobile devices at once using the boombox’s rear-mounted USB port. All of these connections are hidden behind a flap at the bottom of the boombox; The flap closes tightly, which is great because it makes the boombox IPX7 waterproof up to about 3 feet. And it floats

Jbl Boombox Vs Jbl Partybox

Big box, big sound: The boombox uses two front-facing 20mm tweeters, two four-inch woofers and a four-inch passive radiator on each side. JBL says its internal amplifier delivers 30 watts per channel in AC power and 20 watts per channel in battery mode. It’s no surprise that the boombox delivers punchy bass, but we were surprised to find that the boombox’s bass didn’t swell and swell. It wouldn’t be an ideal pairing for metalheads, but we expected the boombox to be great for playing more musical instruments. The JBL Boombox also includes an indoor/outdoor switch – the outdoor mode seems to boost the bass and low-mids, which makes sense for an outdoor setup, but sounds inaccurate indoors. The boombox is capable of getting very loud, although it sounds good at relatively low volumes from close range Passive radiators allow you to experience low bass even at reasonable volumes Compared to a proper two-channel speaker system, the Boombox still sounds a bit cramped and lacks a good sound quality, but that’s the same with all Bluetooth speakers. If you love the sound of JBL’s small Bluetooth speakers, the Boombox has it all

We now go itch on eBay to find an old Boombox from the 80s, open the case and find a way to add Bluetooth connectivity. JBL scratched that scratch by doing something better than he ever did on his own There’s no denying that this form factor has fallen out of favor in recent years as the world shifts toward personal audio. The JBL Boombox is a well-executed revival of systems that were shoulder-carried in cities decades ago, but it’s expensive. The boombox’s audience is inherently limited; As fun as the JBL Boombox is, we think potential customers should carefully consider that they’re often in a scenario where it makes sense; If you want to spend $450 on a home audio system, there are better options However, if you’re looking for a solid system to take to the beach, basketball court, or house party, the JBL Boombox is crazy enough that it might work. Tribit Stormbox Blast Review: This Bluetooth Speaker Keeps The Summer Sounds Rocking Out All Day Long

The JBL Boombox 2 is a large, portable Bluetooth speaker that delivers powerful bass depth and high volume. At $499.95, it’s also expensive The speaker’s enhanced bass and sculpted treble are unlikely to disappoint purists, but big sound lovers will enjoy its powerful output. While you can certainly find speakers that offer a more nuanced sound experience at this price point, if you’re looking for an outdoor-friendly, fully immersive party system, the Boombox 2 won’t disappoint.

At 10.1 x 19.1 x 7.9 inches (HWD), the 13-pound Boombox 2 isn’t the kind of portable speaker you can throw in your bag. It’s big and heavy, and portable in the sense that it has a built-in handle to carry it around the yard, on the roof, or in the trunk of a car. Its IPX7 rating means it can be submerged in up to 3.3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes We don’t recommend it because Bluetooth doesn’t work well in water, but the thing is, the speaker can work well when wet.
