Of course, Bluetooth speakers are a dime a dozen, but some stand out from the crowd. The Tribit XSound Mega is the company’s new flagship smartphone in the US. You can find it on the company’s website or on Amazon for $109.99.

I have been listening to music through the Tribit XSound Mega for over two weeks. And I was very impressed with his performance. Let’s see what this speaker has to say.

As always, the Tribit XSound Mega experience starts with the parts not installed. The first thing I noticed about the speaker was the weight. It is medium in size, about 10 inches wide and three and a half inches high and deep.

But surprisingly, it weighs more than two kilos. It’s not heavy by any means, but it’s heavier than expected.

And to help offset that extra weight, the speaker comes with a waist strap that can be folded to be carried like a backpack. Perhaps the Tribit XSound Mega can bring back the old boombox days when people carried large radios on their shoulders.

In addition, the speaker comes with a USB-C cable. The speaker has a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB-C port for charging. There is an additional USB port that you can use to charge other devices while listening to music.

Connecting speakers is very easy. It’s as simple as pressing a button and it remembers the last connected device when you reboot. It also has the ability to connect with NFC, although the Bluetooth connection is simple and straightforward.

There is no special application to adjust the sound of Tribit XSound Mega. But there are three different equalizer settings you can choose from. The “XBass” mode gives you more bass in your music, while the “Audiobook” mode is flat and best for listening to spoken content. The “Music” mode is in the middle, offering some bass but not the same as the “XBass” setting.

It’s also IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can survive underwater for 30 minutes. While it may not be a good idea to try it out, it’s good to know that the speaker will survive a quick swim in the pool.

But the most interesting thing about the Tribit XSound Mega is definitely the LED lights. The speaker has colorful lights on the front that move with the music. There are a few different effects, such as rainbows and moving lights. And dance around in front of the speaker according to the rhythm of the music being played.

It sounds like a joke, but it’s actually pretty cool. Perfect for outdoor parties after sunset. Or in my case, in my office where all the curtains are closed and the lights are off.

And the most important aspect of any speaker: How? Well, the XSound Mega Bluetooth speaker certainly does not disappoint.

Core Audio Dynamic Wireless Speaker Review

When I first turned on the speaker, I understood why it was so heavy. This packs a perfect punch. With its height, the Tribit XSound Mega is very loud. It only has 360 degrees of sound, so you have to make sure you’re facing the right direction.

But the quality of the sound is not lost by increasing the volume. When you listen to the XBass equalizer, which I used almost exclusively for bass power, the music is nice and clear. Even if you turn the volume up to 100 percent, there is no problem.

But listening at high volume can seriously damage the Bluetooth speaker’s battery. The battery lasts for up to 20 hours depending on your gaming intensity. At about 70 to 80 percent, I realized that the battery life was close to half the amount.

In addition, the speaker’s voice is nothing short of amazing in terms of clarity. The sound is pretty good for a wireless speaker, but it might not impress better external earphones.

If you are looking for a good Bluetooth speaker that delivers powerful sound, the Tribit XSound Mega is right up your alley. The speaker provides loud sound and is perfect for outdoor use. And the built-in lights will help you start any kind of party.

The compact size of the Tribit XSound Mega is a bit heavier than most speakers of its size. It is definitely more portable than other similar speakers. And the included cable is not the most convenient solution for carrying your speaker.

Overall, this Bluetooth speaker is a good mid-range option at a reasonable price of $109.99. Again, you can choose one from the company’s website, Best Buy, or Amazon.

Before you ask: no AirPlay. According to M & D, it was a design decision, but it was also due to the limitations given by Apple.

In addition to making ceramic composites (made in-house), the MA770 is the first speaker released by NYC-based Master & Dynamic. M&D has been manufacturing and selling personal audio products since 2014 – to name a few – but this is their first foray into making speakers.

Apart from clean sounds and other healthy sounds, what else does M&D offer that is original and original? As one of the first Google Chromecast, a third speaker is a good place to start – but, not enough.

In fact, the design is what sets the MA770 apart from most high-end/expensive speakers. It was designed by Sir David Adjaye, renowned architect and creator of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. In M & D, the creation of the MA770 was an exciting project due to the choice of materials, but even if Sir Adjaye described the result as a “new geometry of sound.”

In this concrete block, designed by mathematicians and sound engineers, there are two 4-inch Kevlar woofers, and a 1.5-inch titanium tweeter above and below a diamond anodized aluminum surface. An art and a speaker in equal measure.

This expensive ceramic tile is bound to be a very special product, make no mistake. But even at low volume, the MA770 is a joy to listen to. Loudness does not necessarily mean good sound, but this speaker delivers both, with good results.

Out of the box, M & D recommends you use the MA770 with Spotify, Tidal, Pandora, SoundCloud, or Deezer. The reason for this is Chromecast / Wi-Fi applications. I spent most of the week testing the MA770 around connecting via Bluetooth to play games, or using an iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 11.

Master & Dynamic Mw08 Review: Revel In The Sublime Sound

I’m emphasizing the iOS version here because some errors in Spotify and Wi-Fi sections are always there that caused disconnections, muted sound, and the like. M&D has told me that it is mostly out of their control and can be fixed with an app update. But until they do, they ruin the speaker’s experience.

Core Audio Dynamic Wireless Speaker Review

I switched to the Google Pixel, I have no problems with Wi-Fi or Chromecast with the MA770. So, I will write it down as an installation kit for iOS and the Spotify app.

So what’s the music on $1,800 concrete?
