Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus Ii Bluetooth Portable Speaker

The Bose SoundLink Revolve is a well-built Bluetooth speaker. It has a nice design, small size and easy to take with you on the road. It’s rated for dust, shock, and water resistance, so you can use it outdoors, although we haven’t tested it. Unfortunately, it lacks low bass and is not very loud. However, its balanced midrange makes it ideal for listening to audio content such as podcasts and audiobooks.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve isn’t bad for music. Its sound profile is neutral, especially in the mids and highs, where vocals and lead instruments are reproduced. However, it doesn’t have much low-end bass, which disappoints fans of bass-heavy music genres. Its 360 ° speaker system helps to create a large and wide focus, but unfortunately it is not very loud.

Bose SoundLink Revolve is an average for videos and movies. While its balanced midrange can reproduce dialogue, it lacks deep bass, so you won’t hear a deep punch in action-packed images. It’s not very loud, and it should mix stereo content into mono, which isn’t very interesting. Its latency on iOS and Android devices is high, although some apps charge latency differently, so your experience may vary.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve is great for podcasts. This portable speaker has balanced midrange, so it can reproduce the voice clearly and accurately. It’s Bluetooth compatible, so you can easily stream podcasts wirelessly from your phone or tablet, and you can even pair it with two devices at the same time. It’s not too loud though.

Bose Soundlink Revolve 1 (not Revolve 2), Audio, Soundbars, Speakers & Amplifiers On Carousell

The Bose SoundLink Revolve is great for voice assistants. It doesn’t have built-in assistant capabilities, so it uses the voice assistant on your paired device. As a result, the speaker is not always looking for your voice and cannot be used by voice. On the other hand, it can understand your voice from a distance.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve is perfect for outdoor use. This well-built portable speaker has IPX4 waterproofing, as well as dust and shock resistance, although we haven’t tested it. More than 12 hours of battery life is also perfect for long days outdoors. It’s not too loud though.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve has a sleek and simple design. Its metal and plastic design won’t stand out against your decor. You can choose between ‘Lux Grey’ or ‘Triple Black’ color options.

Bose Soundlink Revolve

This speaker is overrated. It’s small, lightweight and can be carried in one hand, so you can easily move it to different places for better listening. It can be battery operated for easy outdoor use.

Bose Soundlink Revolve & Revolve+ Review: Good Performance From A Compact And Stylish Body

The Bose Revolve has excellent build quality. It is mostly made of metal, while the upper and lower parts of the speaker are made of rubber-like plastic. Overall it looks sturdy and well put together. This speaker has IPX4 waterproof, IP dustproof, and IK shock rating, although we’re not testing that right now. There’s also a threaded mounting hole on the bottom that lets you mount the speaker on something like a tripod.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve has an impressive array of controls. They are easy to use and you don’t have to press hard to register an order. On top of the speaker, some buttons allow you to control volume, turn on/off, play/pause music, change input, and enable voice assistant.

The Bose Revolve speaker has enough response for repetition. Overall, its sound profile is very neutral and well-balanced, suitable for a variety of music genres. However, the speaker does not have a low bass, which may disappoint fans of heavy bass genres such as hip-hop and EDM. However, it is well balanced in the mids and highs, perfect for playing vocals and lead instruments. Unfortunately, unlike the Ultimate Ears MEGABLAST, it doesn’t come with sound-making capabilities.

This speaker has a decent stereo sound field. It’s a 360-degree speaker system, so its focus is big and wide. Unfortunately, it does not have separate speakers for the left and right channels, so it mixes stereo content in mono, which does not provide an interesting listening experience. For a speaker that supports stereo content, check out Marshall Emberton.

Bose Soundlink Revolve Portable Speaker Charging Dock Black 782298 0010

The dynamic performance of the Bose SoundLink Revolve is less than. This speaker is not too loud, and unlike the OontZ Angle 3, there is a lot of compression when playing the speaker at high volume. It may not be suitable for use in crowded places like parties.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve has great battery life. In our tests, we measured more than 12 hours of battery life on a single charge, which is great if you want to use the speaker when it’s not connected to a power source. It also has a power saver that automatically turns off the speaker after a period of inactivity, which you can configure in the app. You can disable this feature by pressing the + key and the input mode key at the same time. However, charging takes almost four hours.

Update 01/21/2021: We’ve updated Alexa rating support from YES to NO. This speaker supports the Alexa voice assistant only when paired with an Amazon device, such as the Amazon Echo Gen 4. However, Alexa cannot be used directly with the speaker or with a connected smartphone.

Bose Soundlink Revolve

The Bose SoundLink Revolve has a disappointing voice acting assistant. It doesn’t have built-in assistant capabilities, so it uses the voice assistant of any phone it’s connected to. The microphone on the speaker acts as an extension of the phone it’s connected to, so the speaker doesn’t always listen to voice commands. On the other hand, it does a great job of understanding speech at a distance and in noisy environments.

The Bose Revolve has an awesome app. With the Bose Connect app, you can pair two SoundLink Revolve speakers to create a stereo pair that can give you a surround sound experience for a more immersive music or movie experience. There’s also a Party Mode that lets you connect two speakers together to play sound in large, crowded spaces like parties. Unfortunately, there’s no equalizer, so you can’t adjust the speaker’s sound profile. If you’re looking for a speaker with graphic EQ for your application, try the Sony SRS-XB23. If you prefer to use bass and treble sliders, consider the Sonos One SL instead.

If you want to connect devices to the speaker with a cable, there is an AUX input and a USB port.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve has decent Bluetooth connectivity. It can connect to two devices at the same time, which is perfect for listeners who want to be able to quickly switch between sound sources. It also has an excellent Bluetooth range of 50m, which is more than the advertised range of 10m. We took this measurement in line of sight, and walls or other obstacles will limit the range. However, this speaker’s Bluetooth latency may not be suitable for viewing video content, but some apps compensate for this, so your experience may vary. You can also check out the JBL GO 3 or the Bose SoundLink Revolve + II if you want a speaker with low latency for iOS and Android.

This speaker is not compatible with Wi-Fi. If you’re looking for a Wi-Fi-enabled Bose speaker, try the Bose Home Speaker 300.

Bose’s New Revolve Bluetooth Speakers Look Great And Play Sound In Every Direction

This speaker comes in two different colors: Luxe Gray and Triple Black. We’ve tested the ‘Lux Grey’ variant, but we think the ‘Triple Black’ performs just as well.

If you find a different version of this speaker, please let us know in the discussions so we can update our review.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve is a portable Bluetooth speaker. It’s designed for dust, water, and shock resistance, but that’s not who we are. It has a long battery life and a neutral sound profile, although it lacks deep bass. Unfortunately, it’s not very loud, and its voice assistant isn’t as good as the Bose SoundLink Revolve II.

Bose Soundlink Revolve

Depending on your listening habits, you can choose either the Bose SoundLink Revolve or the JBL Charge 5. The Bose has better directionality thanks to its 360-degree design, so its soundstage is perceived as wider and more open than JBL. It also supports voice assistants with your smartphone and understands your commands well from a distance and in a noisy environment. However, the JBL is built better. It’s louder and produces more sustained bass than the Bose.
