I liked Beyerdynamic’s older Phonum speaker (see below), which retailed for around $100. But the new Space for 2022 is a slimmer product and a nice “personal” speaker that works well in home office environments . It also has more bass than the average speaker and works decently for listening to music, although it doesn’t support the higher-fidelity AAC and AptX codecs – only SBC. If you can afford it, you can link two of them wirelessly for stereo sound.

Weighing 354 grams, the speaker is quite portable and a carrying case is included, while Beyerdynamic describes it as a personal speaker, it has four microphones and is suitable for conference calls with up to six people sitting around it. Although it is a bit expensive at $179 list price, I think it will come down in price over time.

The Luna is eMeet’s latest speaker and a good value for $80 list price, although it sometimes drops even less with an Amazon Direct coupon. It’s designed to compete with Anker’s PowerConf (see below). It’s not as stylish as the PowerConf, nor does it come with a protective carrying case like this model. Its microphone performance is also good, but not up to the level of the Jabra Speak 510 (see below) in terms of clarity. That said, it offers good noise reduction.

The Poly Sync 20 is available with and without a Bluetooth dongle, and there’s also a Microsoft Teams-certified version. Plus there’s a new pink version to support breast cancer awareness that’s currently $100 without the dongle.
It’s not clear if you need the dongle, as the speaker has a built-in USB-A or -C cable to connect directly to a computer and charge the device, but the dongle makes pairing easy.
