The 10 Best Portable Speakers For An Outdoor Party
Loud and proud, the Turtlebox 2 packs tons of volume into a compact form factor. With enough volume to party all day and night, you can take it with you wherever you go.
If you’re looking for low-noise speakers, these speakers offer the best wireless speaker options. Place them in flower beds or along rocks around a pool.
If you’re looking for portable Bluetooth speakers, we’ve got a list of the best. This speaker has a traditional portable design, but with a volume greater than 120 dB.
Pyle’s PDWR64BT includes a built-in amplifier with Bluetooth connectivity, meaning you don’t have to worry about buying additional amplifiers to drive your speakers. We chose the Pyle Outdoor Bluetooth speakers for this list, not only because they’re Bluetooth compatible, but because they sound great, especially considering the price.
Best Outdoor Speakers 2022
We’ve found Pyle’s products to be a bit hit and miss, and some of their speakers don’t quite match how they’re preparing for the competition. However, both the PDWR69BT and PDWR64BT make excellent external Bluetooth speakers for use with built-in amplifiers.
The PDWR62BT has been our top recommendation for years and the PDWR69BT is an updated and improved version of the Model 62.
This outdoor Bluetooth speaker system has an active speaker with an internal amplifier that drives the negative and positive sides. There are several variants of the PDWR series of Pyle speakers, but the PDWR69BT is our pick due to its dynamic sound, which uses 6.5” drivers.
The Pyle PDWR69BT features an impressive 6.5″ driver with an output power of up to 800W, making it one of the largest and loudest Bluetooth speakers out there. While there are 8″ speakers, they typically require an external amplifier and they don’t include native Bluetooth support like the Pyle. The Pyle wall mount has a sliding action feature that allows you to tilt the speaker to fit your design.
The Best Multi Room Wireless Speakers
The Pohopa EF-B260 is a built-in external Bluetooth speaker solution that differs slightly from the Herdio and Pyle speakers on our list. Unlike these speakers, the Pohopa EF-B260 does not have a built-in Bluetooth receiver. Instead, the EF-B260 is paired with a standalone Bluetooth receiver to ultimately create the same wireless experience.
We chose the Pohopa over other speakers because of its modern version of Bluetooth, as well as the speaker’s overall performance. While the sound quality doesn’t match what you’d get from something like the Polk Atrium 6 with a Bluetooth receiver, in terms of included products, the Pohopa offers excellent value for under $200.
The Pohopa EF-B260 is a unique offering that does not have built-in Bluetooth, but requires the purchase of an additional receiver or amplifier. Unlike the Pyle, which uses a built-in amplifier with Bluetooth, the Pohopa includes a separate Bluetooth receiver that adds the wireless connectivity you need.
The 5.25″ driver is paired with a 1″ tweeter that delivers incredible sound throughout the entire response range, and the bass is really impressive for the size of the base driver, and while it doesn’t match the larger Pyle PDWR64BT, it doesn’t it does not too far behind.

The JBL Flip series has proven to be a favorite among customers over the years. In fact, the Flip model was first introduced a decade ago. Over the years, JBL has continued to refine this popular speaker, setting the standard for consumer-friendly portable Bluetooth speakers.
Portable We have no hesitation in recommending the JBL Flip 6. Weighing in at just over 1 pound, the Flip 6 can be easily moved around the yard or taken with you on outdoor adventures. Despite its small size, the JBL Flip 6 offers excellent sound quality and is affordable. There’s a reason why the Flip is considered one of JBL’s flagship models and is loved by music lovers around the world.
The IP67 water resistance rating means that the Flip 6 is not only waterproof, but also dust resistant, making the speaker more suitable for the outdoors. The limitations of the Flip 6 are mainly based on sound levels, and while the Flip 6 can provide enough volume for a party at the table or a circle of friends on the lawn, it cannot handle any outdoor party.
The JBL Flip 6 has improved sound quality over the Flip 5, a much bigger change than what we saw when the Flip 5 came out.

What we love about the Turtlebox is that, unlike many other Bluetooth speakers on the market, the Turtlebox 2 doesn’t sacrifice its sound quality. You get crisp highs and a clean, balanced bass response and deep mids. The Turtlebox 2 also includes a microphone input, a useful feature not found on the original Turtle.
The Herdio HOS-501W Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker is ideal for under-ear mounting or protection from extremely challenging environmental conditions. Although these speakers are rated as “all weather”, we recommend taking precautions to avoid unnecessary risk of damage.
The Herdio HOS-501W are active external Bluetooth speakers, similar to the Pyle shown above, so you don’t need an additional amplifier to power them. We chose the Herdio HOS-501W as a smaller and cheaper alternative to the Pyle PDWR64BT. The sound quality doesn’t match the Pyle, especially in the low frequency response.
The HOS range of Herdio Bluetooth external speaker systems come in various sizes. The 5.25″ model we’ve seen is the largest in the range, so you’ll always be stuck with the 4″ model, but if you’ve got the space, we wouldn’t recommend it as the price is a few bucks. . A taller, more basic 5.25″ model.
The Best Outdoor Bluetooth Speakers Of 2022
If you’re on a budget and looking for a pair of active Bluetooth speakers, the Herdio HOS-501W is usually around $150.
