In a standard configuration, your Sonos speakers, as well as other connected devices, such as phones, tablets, and laptops, will all connect to your Internet router, no matter where they are at home. So, if one of the speakers is far away, he will still have to rely on the weak connection.
But when you connect a Sonos Boost to your router, everything changes. Your phones, tablets, and laptops will continue to connect to your router as usual, but Sonos devices will now connect to Boost over a dedicated wireless network created specifically for the Sonos system.

Another, slightly more technical solution could be wireless MAC filtering.
When you set up a Sonos speaker at home, it must automatically receive an IP address from your router. But some routers have an “advanced” setting for MAC filtering that prevents the router from giving an IP address to the Sonos speaker until you manually approve it, that is, you add the address. Sonos product’s MAC to a list in your router’s settings.
Therefore, if your Sonos speaker cannot obtain a network IP address, you must add the MAC address of your device. You can find the MAC address at the bottom of your speaker – it will be listed as a serial number. Unfortunately, the addition of MAC addresses may vary from router to router.
