First you need to open the bluetooth usb and solder wires in the tabs marked with L, R and GND
Now to transfer audio from bluetooth usb to amplifier you need to connect these 3 wires to aux input of amplifier.
Plug your usb into the 12V to 5V converter, and connect the converter to 1 of your 12V power sources.
You only need to extend 1 socket to the wall, so open the power supply and connect both input voltages together. Use a plug and put the plug in a wooden case so you can put your power cable in it.

You’ve used a car speaker a lot Do you already have them or were they purchased specifically for this project?
The car speakers I use are Audiolin 4” 2-way car speakers that I bought from JB Hi-Fi for $27 a pair. I had recycled speakers at home that would have worked, but I wanted the unit to look its best, so I went with a new set of speakers to add to the overall aesthetic. I can use the second speaker in another bluetooth speaker project
At $27 a pair, it’s a bargain anyway, and you’re right – we always want our DIY projects to look good. What amplifier module are you using to turn up the volume?

The amplifier board is a TPA3116DA that I bought off eBay for $17. This is a 100W single channel amplifier that can be powered by a 12-24V supply (although 9V from a battery will work reasonably well). The board is small, has an adjustable gain control and a large heatsink, which is perfect for this project With low voltage, it will distort at high volume, but my speaker can be powered by battery or DC input, meaning it can reach enough volume with the power supply.
Distortion at low voltage is understandable; You’re not trying to match it with a 1000W hi-fi system
The Bluetooth module I used was a simple USB powered Bluetooth audio receiver that I found on eBay. It is powered by 5V USB and output to 3.5mm AUX To power it, I used an old broken car Navman 5V power supply This allowed me to get a 12-24V to 5V supply and I used the power light on the speaker for a power indicator. I soldered the 5V output to the audio receiver’s USB contact, and stripped an old AUX cable to get the audio output.

When I decided to power the speakers, I chose to wire the batteries in parallel to increase performance. I haven’t done any tests on the speaker yet but it runs at about half volume for at least an hour on an old 9V smoke alarm battery. I plan to test the runtime in the future One modification I’m starting to make to the speaker is a switch that will allow you to switch between parallel and series circuits, so you can choose one battery for 9V or two batteries for 18V to give more video. I predict that with one fresh 9V battery, the speaker will easily last a few hours with Bluetooth at about half volume.
