Braven Ready – Braven is known for making rugged Bluetooth speakers that are suitable for outdoor use. I’ve tried a few of them and they all have great sound quality compared to other waterproof speakers. In this post, we will review the Braven Ready Pro.
The Braven speaker comes in a very nice clear plastic packaging. It has a removable mount on the bottom that is compatible with GoPro mounting systems. Inside the box, you’ll also find a micro-USB charging cable, a strap to remove the mount, and a hex key.

So Braven is back with another waterproof speaker, and this time it’s absolutely unbeatable when it comes to bass. I’m talking about the new Braven Ready Pro, a sleek black box that boasts IP68 water resistance (except for some small silver details). We recently tried out their Stryde360, which left us a little underwhelmed. Let’s see if Ready Pro can beat it.
Braven put this speaker in a traditional clear plastic case, which I think looks pretty cool. It showcases products while browsing on shelves and creates an out-of-the-box experience. However, the clamps on both sides of the case are an absolute problem. I tried to open them with a screwdriver. Sliding doors on the underside, which hide things like motion mounts and cables, were equally tight.
The speaker itself is very rubbery. By that I mean it’s covered almost entirely in rubber, except for the speaker grille and small metal areas on the top. This gives the speaker the best protection from the elements and even things like drops and bumps. Don’t worry if it falls off the edge of your desk or you drop it while taking it to the beach.
