We could write a thousand words about how good the second generation Naim Mu-so Qb is, but maybe all we have to say is this: it ticks every box we want for a truly great wireless speaker. In our opinion, the sound quality is good enough to challenge any stereo Hi-Fi system, providing clear, balanced and detailed audio. There’s a huge range of connectivity options – if you can think of a way to stream music wirelessly, you’ll find it here. The design is also amazing. From the subtle curves of the speaker grill to the giant illuminated volume knob at the top, the Mu-so Qb is as beautiful as it is functional. In our opinion, it blows other individual speakers, such as Bowers and Wilkins Formation Wedges, out of the water.

The Best Multiroom Wireless Speaker System

The biggest downside to the second generation Naim Mu-so Qb is the control app, which requires you to listen to Tidal as well as digital inputs and music servers. It’s a little tricky to use, and we often encountered lag and freezes. It is also worth noting that the original Mu-so Qb is significantly cheaper. If you’re willing to deal with less power, a little less accurate noise, and no remote, you can save yourself a few hundred dollars. Naim also makes a larger rectangular version, simply called the Mu-So, but it’s more expensive (though arguably better looking; there’s even a wood-framed version, which looks

We can’t think of a wireless speaker that performs as well at such a reasonable price tag. The Clips The Three II may have a clunky name, but it’s a really good Bluetooth speaker that delivers incredibly confident and punchy sound for its small size. The design includes typical Clips details: large knobs adapted to click switches and a retro-style grill make Three II one of the best-designed wireless speakers out there.

But no Wi-Fi functionality. The Klipsch The Three II is Bluetooth only (no optical or USB connectivity), and it reaches 24bit / 192kHz. As good as the sound is, those who want high purity may find it a bit rough around the edges. The Sonos Five or SVS Prime Wireless are probably better options for this, though they cost a bit more. Overall, though, the Three II offers tremendous value, and is one of the biggest hits in the wireless world right now.

If you want to make your home theater wireless, then in our opinion, Sonos is the only company you should consider. Other manufacturers like Klipsch try their best – see below – but they can’t compete with Sonos. Advanced wireless home theater is still in its infancy, and this package is one of only two we feel confident enough to include on this list. This set consists of an Arc soundbar, subwoofer and two One SL surround speakers and is an absolute dream to set up and use. With no cables to drive the speakers, you’ll have a wireless 5.1 home theater setup in minutes. The sound quality is rich and powerful, easily comparable to similarly priced wired systems.

How To Choose A Home Theater System

The Sonos 5.1 surround set has some limitations. With only an HDMI eARC port, you’ll need a high-end TV to get full Dolby Atmos sound. That’s a real shame, as it limits the appeal of the Sonos set. It’s disappointing that Sonos doesn’t offer some form of Bluetooth streaming, which would have been nice, especially at this price. However, we stand by our initial claim: for wireless home theater, the Sonos 5.1 surround system is the speaker to beat.

There are few absolutes in the audio world, but here’s one for free: No one, but no one, does multi-room better than Sonos. Their five new speakers prove it. The SVS Prime Wireless, below, may offer better sound quality, and Naim’s top-rated speaker can also cover multiple rooms, but the Sonos makes connecting multiple speakers around the house incredibly easy. Their app is second to none – for once, we mean that literally. If you’re looking to pepper your home with great speakers and want everyone to talk to each other, Sonos should be your first and only port of call.

The Sonos Five still has these sound quality issues. It’s perfectly acceptable, but can seem a bit too heavy at times, even feeling a touch puffy. If pure sound quality is what you’re concerned about, go for the aforementioned SVS and Naim speakers. If you’re looking for technical wizardry, this speaker is the one to go for. It’s not the best high-end wireless speaker out there, but it’s the best if You plan to buy more than one. And they work well in stereo pairs too.

) look like a traditional pair of bookshelf speakers, but they have a few secret weapons. They have a much wider range of inputs and outputs than single-box speakers like the Bowers & Wilkins Formation Wedge, and even include an optical input so you can use them for both home theater and hi-fi. Despite being Bluetooth only, the TUK speakers offer decent sound quality, especially at high volume. To achieve this they use Air Motion Transformer tweeters, unique among all the speakers here. You’ll buy these if you want a traditional two-speaker bookshelf setup, but don’t want to compromise on wireless audio. In this category, the TUK and the KEF LSX, below, are by far the best options, although we prefer the sound and usability of the TUK to the LSX.

How To Use Multiple Bluetooth Speakers For Amazing Sound

One of the problems that Kanto speakers had in the past, and which unfortunately repeats itself here, is the volume control. Precise volume adjustments are nearly impossible, which can make using TUK frustrating. And despite the good sound quality, the TUKs offer a surprisingly low file size via Bluetooth: only 24bit/96kHz, significantly lower than the slightly higher 24bit/384kHz offered by the Naim Mu-so Qb 2nd generation flagship. Expensive However, none of these issues stop the Kanto TUK from being the best wireless bookshelf option this year…

The Devialet Phantom II is one of those speakers that completely redefines what you think about audio. In our opinion, it has the best bass of any full-range speaker we’ve ever heard – that’s any speaker, not just wireless. The sound quality is fantastic, and the design, which prioritizes the specifications, is nothing short of amazing. One of these will rock your house. Both work as a stereo duo, with that twin bass driver probably going in and out, it will destroy it.

The Devialet Phantom II is, quite obviously, the second version of the popular Phantom series, and it adds Apple AirPlay 2 as well as Rune Ready functionality. It comes in two versions at different heights: 95dB (our choice here) and 98dB. One of our disappointments with the speaker was the lack of specifications with any file handling information. We’d like to tell you what file size it might take, but we don’t have that information. Similarly, in terms of sound quality, it absolutely smokes similarly priced speakers like the McIntosh RS200 below.

The Dali Callisto 6C is a rare breed: a pair of wireless floorstanding speakers. If you want something with more depth and power than a single box or bookshelf speaker system, this is the place to go. In our opinion, the Callisto 6C delivers exceptional sound quality, as you’d expect for the most expensive system out there. The audio quality is richer and deeper than other similarly priced speakers such as the Bowers and Wilkins Formation Duo, with a black background and higher spatial dynamics. Installation is also surprisingly easy.

Best High End Wireless Speakers Of 2022

Callisto 6 C relies on the SoundHub control device, which handles all the data processing. While its audio is good, we felt a little limited by it. It’s capable enough of accepting analog inputs (from a turntable, say) but that analog sound has to be converted back to digital to send to the speakers, which can cause artifacts in the audio. Then again, you just go for Callisto 6
