I can confirm that the sound on the CX 48” is good, I was surprised myself, obviously decent sound would be better, but for TV speakers they are surprisingly good.
I find the C9 65″ speakers to be terrible and a pair of cheap £150 amplifiers will absolutely destroy them (that’s what we used for a while). Bass, detail, soundstage were in a different stratosphere than the TV speakers.

Throw a cheap subwoofer into the mix and it’s game over as this time it’ll do things a TV can only dream of.
My personal opinion is that for a TV of this PQ type (which is the best consumer display available), I would try to pair it with decent sound to make it more formal.
They’re not the last or best speakers in the line, but I think they’re of a quality that might start to be diminishing returns for most people if they don’t really care about sound.

I’ll see how it feels when I finally get it. I’m not too concerned about the sound, as long as it’s acceptable I’ll be happy. I’d rather save up for a good sound system than get one on a budget, I was worried that the internal speakers would be off, which would force me to take my hand out, but it sounds (no pun intended) that. will do the trick now

I think the S1000DB speakers are fantastic for $350. They are big and heavy, but they are much better. When you are ready to buy speakers, you can go this way.

Unfortunately I can’t comment more as my ears are used to my Arendals so anything that doesn’t sound like it sounds…bad…even my old KEFs.
Might be worth checking first… my friend had the 55″ version (2) and both had a crackling/shaky sound at any low volume in Dolby Atmos mode.

The reason I recommend bookshelves above 350dB is because you can buy your own subwoofer like the BK.

But I only heard amazing things about 350dB. In addition, the bookshelves from 350db are very good in size. For a local PC gaming system, I’d be hard pressed to think of a better value solution that still has excellent SQ and feature set.
